Cook received her BFA from San Francisco Art Institute where she spent a year at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. She has exhibited and performed in Montreal (La Centrale), San Francisco (Southern Exposure, The Luggage Store, The Lab, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts), and Houston (The Contemporary Arts Museum, Blaffer Gallery, Lawndale Arts Center, and DiverseWorks). Cook has received an Individual Fellowship CACHH grant and an Artadia Grant. She has independently curated, at DiverseWorks, both an evening of performance and a project space exhibition of the artist Will Rogan. In addition she has curated an exhibition about Sincerity at Finesilver Gallery in San Antonio, an exhibition titled Video/Performance at Okay Mountain in Austin and most recently a museum exhibition surveying Texas artists at Wichita Falls Museum of Art. She is also a frequent contributor to Artlies magazine and was recently the editor for Glasstire, an online magazine about Texas Visual Arts for three years.
